Our experience has shown that difficulty with subject matter is often not the reason that students require tutoring. In this age of distraction and technology, many students simply need help structuring and maximizing their time. Students also often lack awareness of proper study techniques and methods. We believe that a tutor’s role is to create a structure for students to approach problem solving so that a student is well-equipped to handle any academic situation.
We offer assistance with time management, study habits, prioritization, and organization. These skills are just as necessary as subject matter mastery, if not more so. We feel strongly that underdeveloped academic habits should not prevent a student reaching his or her full potential.
