Fremont runs a large AP program, and its first honors English class comes in junior year. Our tutors are current and former Stanford students who took demanding math and science themselves and know the spots where students get stuck.

We tutor Fremont students in every math course from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus BC, in the honors and AP sciences, and in English. Sessions are one-on-one, at your home or online.
Two math paths after Geometry
Fremont has no pre-algebra course, so most freshmen start in Algebra 1, Geometry or Algebra 2. After Geometry, math splits in two. One path runs through Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus to AP Calculus AB or AP Statistics. The other, for students who want as much math as they can take, goes through Algebra 2/Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus Honors to AP Calculus BC, and Pre-Calculus Honors moves quickly because it assumes the earlier skills are already mastered. Honors and AP science
Ninth graders take Biology. From tenth grade, students choose Chemistry or Physics, each at a regular or honors level, and juniors and seniors can go on to AP Biology, AP Chemistry and AP Physics C: Mechanics, which uses calculus and is recommended after Pre-Calculus Honors. Honors English in junior year
Fremont’s first honors English course is American Literature Honors in eleventh grade. Students write both timed essays and longer ones they revise over several drafts, and AP English Language is the other junior-year choice, with AP English Literature in senior year. A tutor helps a student plan an essay quickly for the timed ones and revise the longer ones until each paragraph supports the argument. Learn more about our English and writing tutoring.
