Our tutors are UC Berkeley students who took Algebra 2, AP Biology and the UC essays themselves only a few years back. They’re close enough in age to be easy to talk to, and far enough along to know what a solid math foundation, a clear essay or a good study routine looks like. We choose them for how well they explain things, not just for what they know.

Cardinal Tutors was started by Stanford students in 2010, and we’ve been matching students with college tutors ever since. When you reach out, we talk with you about your student, their classes and what’s getting in the way, then pick a tutor who fits both the subject and the personality. We check in along the way to make sure it’s working.

School here has its own rhythm: the move from Stanley, Orinda Intermediate or Joaquin Moraga to Acalanes, Miramonte or Campolindo, Berkeley High’s Advanced Math test, the single January HSPT for O’Dowd, Carondelet and De La Salle, and the ISEE or SSAT for College Prep and Bentley.
