What is Cardinal Tutors?
Cardinal Tutors is a dedicated group of current and former UC San Diego students who are hand-picked not only for their academic expertise, but more importantly for their ability to teach others. They remember juggling difficult classes, exams and college applications, and they share the study habits that worked for them.
Cardinal Tutors was founded in 2010 and has helped over 1,000 students achieve their dreams. We get to know every student before recommending a tutor because we believe the best teachers and mentors are those who can relate academically and personally to their students. We work with families in La Jolla, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe, Encinitas, Coronado, Poway and 4S Ranch.

In-home tutoring: we come to you
At home, a tutor works from the real homework and the teacher’s handouts, in the place your student already studies. On a busy week, the same tutor can meet your student online.
San Diego schools, San Diego tests
Families here have their own milestones: in many districts, the 6th grade math tests that decide middle school placement; Cathedral Catholic’s placement test, usually in January; the ISEE for Bishop’s, Country Day and Francis Parker; and UC applications in the fall of senior year. Our tutors help students get ready for each step, including their UC essays, and teach math, science and writing every week in between. Start with San Diego schools or the towns we cover.
