Middle school is when schoolwork starts to get serious. There are more classes, more homework and more independence, and the habits students build now carry into high school.
Help with the work, and the habits
Our tutors are current and former Stanford students who help with middle school math, English and writing, science and history. They also help students with organization, planning and study skills, which are often just as important as the subject itself.
Many students find it easier to ask questions and build confidence with a tutor who’s only a few years older and was in their shoes not long ago.
Getting ready for high school
For students applying to independent high schools, we also offer ISEE, SSAT and STAR prep. For everyone else, we help make the jump to high school a smooth one.

We’ve tutored students from middle schools across the Peninsula, including JLS, Greene, Fletcher, Hillview, La Entrada, Challenger and St. Raymond.
