Summit Prep students spend most of class time on real-world projects and move on once they’ve mastered the material, with the same mentor checking in every week for all four years. Our tutors are current and former Stanford students who handled college-level reading and writing themselves and know how to make a heavy workload manageable.

We tutor Summit Prep students in everything from Math I and Biology to AP Calculus, AP US History and AP English, and help with essays and college applications. Sessions are one-on-one, at your home or online.
Integrated math
Summit Prep teaches math as Math I, Math II and Math III, then AP Statistics or AP Calculus in senior year, and students who meet the requirements can take both. Ninth graders who show what they know on tests at the start of school can begin in Math II. A tutor makes sure each idea is solid before the next one builds on it, and helps a ninth grader get ready to start in Math II. Learn more about our math tutoring.
AP English and history in the last two years
Summit Prep’s curriculum puts AP US History and AP English Language in junior year, and AP Government and AP English Literature in senior year. That is a college-level load of reading and writing, and each course ends in an AP exam with timed essays. A tutor helps a student read closely and keep up with the reading, plan an essay under time pressure, and turn notes into an argument. Learn more about our English and writing tutoring.

Science, year by year
Summit Prep’s science runs Biology in ninth grade, Physics in tenth and Chemistry in eleventh, with AP Environmental Science listed for twelfth.
