Ramona’s AP Calculus BC opens with eight weeks of reviewing and extending AB, and grades students partly on correcting their own tests. Our tutors are UC San Diego students who took many of the same courses not long ago, from biology to AP Calculus BC.

We help Ramona High students keep up in their classes, prepare for the SAT and ACT and work on their college essays. Sessions are one-on-one, at your home in Ramona, Poway or Escondido, or online.
Meet our tutors.
BC starts by revisiting AB
Those first eight weeks are the time to repair whatever was shaky the year before, because series and parametric work assume all of it. The self-corrections reward a student who understands why an answer was wrong, not one who copies the right one. Before writing a correction, your student explains the mistake out loud to a tutor. Statistics in AP Biology
Ramona’s AP Biology grades statistical calculations and scientific arguments built from data. The chi-squared test is the classic stumbling block: a student can run the numbers correctly and still not know what the result says about the hypothesis. A tutor has your student state the conclusion in one plain sentence before writing anything up. Learn more about our science tutoring.

Love knowing that I have access to these high-quality services for my children. And, we use them via Zoom since we live in Tennessee. I cannot say enough great things about this business:)”
Perspective in sophomore English
English II at Ramona reads literature through multicultural and ethnic perspectives and includes a written literary-analysis assessment. The challenge is connecting a text to the perspective it comes from without turning the essay into a history report. A tutor asks your student which line of the passage carries that perspective, and the argument starts there. Learn more about our English and writing tutoring.
