Spanish class support and conversation

Most Spanish students need two things: help with the grammar and vocabulary on this week’s test, and more time actually speaking. A Spanish tutor does both, drilling verb tenses one week and holding a relaxed conversation the next, so a student builds confidence along with accuracy.

AP exams and the Seal of Biliteracy

Many California high schools recognize students who reach a high level in a second language with the State Seal of Biliteracy, and Westview High is one that highlights it. For students aiming at AP Spanish, AP French or AP Chinese, tutors help with listening, speaking and timed writing, the parts that are hardest to practice alone.

Dual language and heritage speakers

Some local schools run dual language programs, including Diegueño Middle School in Encinitas. San Diego students who speak Spanish at home often want help with academic writing, accents and formal grammar, and we match them with a tutor who understands that experience.

French, Mandarin and Latin

We also tutor French, Mandarin and Latin, which La Jolla High lists among its courses. World languages are among the electives at Earl Warren Middle School in Solana Beach, so a 7th grader there can start with a tutor in the first year of a language.

Sessions are one-on-one, at your home or online. Tell us the language and level, and we’ll find a UC San Diego tutor who fits.
