We’re looking for UC Berkeley undergraduates and graduate students who love their subjects and enjoy helping younger students get them. You’ll work one-on-one with middle and high school students from Piedmont, Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, Danville, Alamo, Berkeley and Albany.
What the work is like
Most sessions are an hour or two a week with the same student, so you get to know them and see their progress. You can meet students at their homes, many of which are a short BART ride from campus, or tutor online. We handle finding families, scheduling help and payment, so you can focus on teaching.
Who we’re looking for
Strong students in math, the sciences, English and writing, history, languages or computer science, and anyone who has done well on the SAT, ACT, HSPT or ISEE and wants to help others prepare. Peer tutoring, teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, but what matters most is that you can explain things clearly and patiently.
Fill out the form below and tell us what you’d like to teach. We’ll be in touch to set up a conversation.
