Albany High runs on 95-minute blocks, so a missed day or a confusing lesson covers a lot of ground. The school also recommends no more than three AP courses a year, which says something about how much work each one takes. Our tutors are UC Berkeley students, just down the road, who help Cougars keep up and keep balance.

In math, students take Math 1, 2 and 3, or the Accelerated Math 1-2 track designed for students headed to AP Calculus BC. We help students on both paths, and help 8th graders prepare for the placement that decides which one they start in. We also tutor AP Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Environmental Science, AP English, history, and Spanish, French and Mandarin.

Students in EJSET, who spend most Fridays at internships, and in the Emergency Medical Academy often need help keeping up with classwork on a different rhythm. Juniors and seniors can also work with us on college essays. See our Albany tutoring page or get started below.
