De La Salle offers more than three dozen AP and honors courses, and many Spartans take them while carrying a serious athletic schedule. Balancing practice, travel and AP Chemistry takes planning, and our UC Berkeley tutors help students fit it all together.
We tutor DLS students in math from Algebra 1 through AP Calculus, the sciences, English, history and languages, and work with juniors and seniors on SAT and ACT prep and college essays. In junior and senior year, when students can take classes at Carondelet too, we help them keep up across both.
Getting in: the HSPT
All 9th-grade applicants take the High School Placement Test, given at the Catholic high schools of the Diocese of Oakland on one Saturday in January. For fall 2027 entry, it’s January 9, 2027, and applications are due in December. See our HSPT prep, or tell us about your student and we’ll build a plan backward from test day.
