Piedmont High asks a lot of its Highlanders. Honors and AP classes carry a demanding grading standard and, as the school itself says, considerably more time outside class, and once a student is placed in one, switching out isn’t usually possible. A tutor who has taken the same courses recently can make that workload feel a lot more manageable.
Math is where many PHS families look for help first. Students move through Integrated Math 1, 2 and 3, and those who want to reach AP Calculus can compress along the way, including through a self-study challenge exam in June before 10th grade. Our tutors help students prepare for that exam, keep up in compressed classes and get ready for AP Calculus AB or BC. We also tutor chemistry, physics, AP Biology, English, history and Spanish, French and Mandarin.
For juniors and seniors, we help with SAT and ACT prep and college essays. Learn more about our Piedmont tutoring, or tell us about your student below.
