Saint Mary’s runs on trimesters: three twelve-week terms, five courses at a time. That pace is part of what makes it work, and it also means a student who falls behind has less time to catch up. A tutor at the first sign of trouble can make the difference in a single term.
Our UC Berkeley tutors, just a few minutes from the Peralta Park campus, help Panthers in math through AP Calculus and AP Precalculus, AP Physics, chemistry, biology, English and history. Saint Mary’s limits most students to three AP or Honors classes a year, and we can help students make the most of the ones they choose.
For 8th graders applying, Saint Mary’s uses the HSPT, given at the Diocese of Oakland’s Catholic high schools on one Saturday in January. See our HSPT prep, or tell us about your student to get started.
