R. Roger Rowe School teaches Rancho Santa Fe students from kindergarten through 8th grade on one campus. Our tutors are UC San Diego students who help Rowe students with their classes and with getting ready for high school.

We tutor math, English, science, history and Spanish. Sessions are one-on-one, at your home in Rancho Santa Fe or online.
One campus, then high school
Because Rowe goes through 8th grade, its students stay together through middle school. The first big change comes at high school. Torrey Pines High School is the neighborhood high school for Rancho Santa Fe, and families can also request a place at Canyon Crest Academy or San Dieguito Academy, which hold a lottery when more students apply than there are seats.
Applying to private high schools
For Rowe students applying to The Bishop’s School, La Jolla Country Day, Francis Parker, Pacific Ridge or Santa Fe Christian, 8th grade includes preparing for the ISEE or SSAT, the admissions tests these schools use. Cathedral Catholic gives its own test in January. We offer one-on-one ISEE and SSAT prep, and we make sure test prep doesn’t crowd out a student’s regular schoolwork.
Ready for 9th grade
Whichever school comes next, a student who arrives with solid algebra and confident writing has an easier start. Our tutors help Rowe students get there, and offer extra challenge to those who want it.
