Math across trimesters
Mt. Carmel’s math moves from integrated math to AP Precalculus and AP Calculus, and parts of a course can fall in trimesters that aren’t back to back. A tutor keeps a student’s math sharp through those gaps and ready for each new course. Learn more about our math tutoring.
AP Physics in two years
Mt. Carmel teaches the content of three AP Physics courses in two years, and students don’t need regular physics first. That is a fast climb, especially once calculus enters. Honors Humanities and research essays
Mt. Carmel’s 10th grade Honors Humanities studies literature together with art, history and philosophy as a step toward AP, and junior American Literature walks students through writing a research essay.
