Pleasanton Tutoring

Pleasanton students can study in Spanish from grade school to graduation: the district’s immersion pathway runs from Valley View Elementary and Pleasanton Middle to Foothill High. Our tutors, all UC Berkeley students, help Pleasanton students in any class they’re taking, up to AP Physics C.

Tell us about your student, and we’ll match them with a UC Berkeley tutor who fits.

Advanced math in middle school

Pleasanton’s middle schools offer faster math classes alongside the grade-level ones, and in 7th and 8th grade students move into them through an end-of-year placement test. Algebra I and Geometry taken in middle school show up on the high school transcript with their grades, though they don’t count toward credits or GPA. For a student already in one of those faster classes, a tutor previews each unit before it’s taught and checks that the last one has stuck.

Pleasanton’s public and private schools

We tutor students at Amador Valley and Foothill, at Harvest Park, Thomas Hart and Pleasanton Middle, and at private schools nearby such as The Quarry Lane School and Stratford. Just to the north, we tutor at Dublin High as well.

A tutor chosen for your student

We ask about your student’s classes and how they like to learn before we suggest anyone, and we stay in touch with you once sessions begin.

What Cardinal Tutors families say

“The long term tutor that we had for pre calc and for ACT tutoring was amazing. She was completely professional, organized, thorough and easy to work with.”
